Wesburn Youth Soccer Organization

Wesburn Youth Soccer is one of six soccer clubs serving the city of Burnaby, British Columbia. The clubhouse is the Wesburn Community Centre at Wesburn Park. Wesburn Park is the club's divisional home field, and Harwood Park is the club's House League field.

The club accepts registration from players in the Burnaby soccer district.

Wesburn Youth Soccer is the continuance of the Wesburn Community Association founded sometime in 1949. See our history page for more information.

The club is a non-profit organization that relies on the commitment of the parents to coach (especially the younger levels), and to organize the various club activities.

An executive committee consisting of elected members oversees the operation of the club. This committee holds meetings a least once a month during the soccer season. Meetings are held at the Wesburn Community Center, located at the corner of Moscrop Avenue and Patterson Street. These meetings are generally open to the public, so come and get involved.

Club History

Wesburn Youth Soccer Association is a registered non-profit society governed by the Societies act of B.C.

Wesburn Youth Soccer Club's early years were under the Wesburn Community Association. This association was formed in the 1950's by a group of citizens for the purpose of establishing a neighborhood park. At various times the Community Association sponsored children's softball, soccer, and square dancing as well as adult soccer. Currently the soccer and square dancing components are still actively using the Wesburn name, but both run as separate organizations.
