U11 Coordinators & Coaches Please Read:
1) U11 is house league. Coaches should be reminded that the
message to boys at this age is that "winning" is
not important and to demonstrate same by their actions, BE
COURTEOUS TO THE OTHER TEAM.
2) It is not acceptable to instruct or guide your team to
play unfairly or be overly aggressive just because you as
a Coach may feel the other team is more aggressive than your
boys. Nor is it even remotely acceptable to blame the referee
for the calls they make or don't make regardless of if you
feel it is an erroneous call. The referee is always right
even if he errs on a call, and remember the refs are still
only children. BE WARNED there have been several instances
by teams from all clubs where this has not been respected,
any complaints whatsoever by referees of verbal abuse will
be immediately referred to the District Disciplinary Committee.
3) Be aware of the field rules at BLW: IMPORTANT
Unfortunately Divisional games take precedence over House
games so you must complete your games on time even if they
have to be shortened by 5 or 10 minutes.
No parents allowed on the turf. Max 3 coaches from any team
within the fences.
Arrive early with the correct equipment and be ready with
parents to move the goals into place, set corner flags and
cone off the fields PRIOR to start time.
No food or drinks on the turf except clear water. No Gatorades
or coffees no exceptions. NO FOOD CANDY WRAPPERS OR WATER
BOTTLES TO BE LEFT ON THE TURF
Put away the BLW#3 goals promptly if yours is the last game.
One (1) set of goals at the Northwest side of the field, one
(1) set of goals at the Southwest side, together in pairs
goals face toward the fence for lockup. BOTH TEAMS HELP IN
THIS ENDEAVOUR!
No practicing/warm-up in the End Zones of BLW 1. There is
an area specifically for that purpose on the NE corner.
At BLW speed is of the essence Away teams to assist Home Teams
in setup and put away of equipment.
If we do not follow these rules the city will not permit Super
8's to play on turf in the future. BE WARNED.
4) Head coaches and assistants are responsible for the actions
of your coaches, your team and their parents. If there is
an offence by a parent, discipline will be toward the Coaches.
If you are unsure on this please refer to the 4 District Guide
provided to you by your clubs in which the responsibilities
of Coaches are described. see link http://www.4districtsoccer.com/4dguide.pdf
5) We have lost the use of a grass field (Kisbey) for Super
8 games due to teams playing/practicing on the grass when
the field was closed. TEAMS MAY NOT practice on grass at ANY
time nor play on ANY field that has been declared closed on
